RCB Defeat Gujarat Titans to Win IPL 2026

RCB dominantly clinched the IPL 2026 Final by margin of five wickets against Gujarat Titans (GT). In front of a full house and millions watching around the world, RCB completed its title defense, successfully chasing down the target to win its second straight Indian Premier League crown.

Gujarat Titans scored 155/8 in their 20 overs after batting first. GT kept losing wickets at regular intervals as a vital half-century from Washington Sundar brought some stability. But, the RCB bowling attack kept it tight right through and didn’t allow Gujarat to build on the score.

In reply, RCB started their run chase with aplomb. Star batsman Virat Kohli came up with yet another special performance on the grandest of stages as he played a scintillating unbeaten knock of 75 runs off only 42 balls. Kohli provided the much-needed aggression to keep RCB ahead of the required run rate, scoring it and his fifty in quickest time for him, as he registered the fastest IPL fifty of his career till now.

However there were some wickets for GT during the chase but in the end RCB’s middle order chased down comparatively easily. The Bengaluru franchise finally managed to cross the line with 12 balls remaining to score a total of 161/5 in 18 overs.

Virat Kohli was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his match-winning performance. The win led RCB to their own piece of history, winning back-to-back IPL titles and reinforcing their status as the best team in the league.

After the victory, RCB players and fans were jubilant as they got their hands back on the IPL trophy. The victory rounded off a stellar season for Bengaluru, and provided yet another highlight of the franchises storied history.
